Daniel Gómez Vega brings a human‑sciences mindset to contemporary editorial illustration. Born in Cali, Colombia, and academically shaped across Marseille, Bologna, Istanbul, and Paris, he works with the curiosity and the analytical depth of an anthropologist, and the visual clarity of a designer. That background informs illustrations built on research, context, and a strong sense of how people read and interpret stories.

Now based between Porto and Palermo - usually working from a room overlooking the river - Daniel specializes in editorial illustration for newspapers and magazines, posters, and infographics. His clients include publications such as Zetland, De Morgen, and La Nuova Ecologia, where his work translates complex ideas into accessible and emotionally resonant visuals.

Daniel also collaborates with institutions on projects that merge illustration with human sciences. His work with the Learning Planet Institute, for example, combines visual storytelling with research‑driven insights to create tools that help policymakers, educators, and communities understand social issues from the inside out.

His illustrations help editors sharpen narratives, institutions communicate with clarity, and readers feel grounded in stories that matter. His work is crafted to meet the demands of modern editorial production—fast, adaptable, and conceptually strong—while preserving the warmth and intentionality of a hand‑made piece.
