After 24 years in China, Jianan came to the U.S. to explore her possibilities.
As an illustrator, Jianan spends most of her day sitting in front of screens with he best work buddy, Notch the cat. Her work focuses on color and texture. She also pours her imagination into her work to create a beautiful world. She often brings depth and space to the two-dimensional world making her illustration vivid and lively.
Jianan has been working closely with publishers, commercial clients, such as Target, Genesis Motion Design(LUX), Acura, Malala Fund, Marie Curie.org, Poetry Foundation, NPR, The Institute for Public Policy Research, Scientific American, NUVO Magazine, Chronicle Books, Macmillan, Hachette Children UK, Penguin Random House UK, LeleQu China, and others.
