Candice paints all manner of whimsical subjects from anthropomorphic victorian insects to surreal alien landscapes. She lovingly infuses her illustrations with keen observation from the natural world and a dash of magic. Her choice of characters reflect a desire to feature the diversity of humanity and unmask the “creepy” exterior of beautifully grotesque organisms. Residing in the rolling hills and cornfields of Fairfield, Iowa, Candice can often be found hiking its many trails. She is hard at work developing Iowa’s first sled-dog transit systems to revolutionize winter transportation in the Midwest.
